The Hub and Nurture Provision
at
Radbrook Primary School
The Hub is a comfy “home-like” classroom base that provides a safe and predictable structured environment for those children in attendance. It provides, opportunities for children to revisit early missed ‘nurturing’ experiences. The Hub team supports children to thrive from exposure to additional early nurturing and social experiences as well as enabling the children to progress in their learning by following a personalised curriculum.
At the heart of this, staff work on building positive relationships with each child. There is a strong emphasis on the development of language and communication skills which is an essential strategy to support those children who have difficulties with their social, emotional and mental health or display challenging behaviours. Each child is valued for their uniqueness.

Ultimate Success
Our aim is to reintegrate children back into their mainstream classroom for increased periods of time or if necessary we will work with external agencies to support a journey towards children accessing a specialist provision outside of our school family.
We will continue to be recognised as an inclusive setting that works tirelessly to push the boundaries of a school’s role in the community.
We are the creative, inclusive school team who are finding solutions to support our children to be the best that they can be.
We know that nurture helps children and young people to develop the vital social skills, confidence and self-esteem needed for them to become ready to learn. This tried and tested method is underpinned by both theory and research in order to make a practical difference in pupils' lives by ensuring they have the support they need to flourish.
